MATERIAL AND CONSTURCTION
Double braid and intermediate cover
Core: 12 or 16 Strand braid of dyneema ( or Spectra ) fibres.
Intermediate cover of Polyester staple fibres to give frictional hold between the Dyneema core and the outer cover.
Outer Cover : 16-24 or 32 strand (depending on rope size) braided cover of High Tenacity (HT) continuous Multifilament Polyester (PES) yarn.
PROPERTIES
Similar strenght and stretch to steel wire comparable size.
Flexible cover,very good handling
The creep (non-recoverable stretch of this fibre) means that long term halyard readjustment might be necessary.
Abrasion Resistant outer cover particulary suitable for stopper.
Universal rope ideal for guys, Up/Down-Hauls,Reeling Lines, Vang and Cuningham.
Dyneema is easy suitable splice.
APPLICATIONS
Sheets, halyards for racing, guys and Cruising Yatchs. |
