MATERIAL AND CONSTRUCTION
  • Double braid and intermediate cover.
  • Core : 12 or 16 Strand braided combination of Dyneema (or Spectra) and aramid Kevlar (or Twaron-Technora) fibres in a specially developed balanced mix.
  • Outer Cover : 16-24 or 32 strand (depending on rope size) braided cover of High Tenacity (HT) continuous Multifilament Polyster (PES) yarn.

    PROPERTIES
  • Smilar strenght and stretch to steel wire of comparable size whilist uniquely cost effective.
  • Exceptional abrasion resistance with good handling.
  • The very low stretch of A-COMBINATION ROPE means that high shock loads (particularly in hallyards) will be directly transmitted to associated fittings such as Spinnaker heads which should be reinforced accordingly.Alternatively a Polyester hallyards could be used.
  • The outer cover of A-COMBINATION ROPE should always remain in place to protect the Aramid content of the core from UV.
  • Splice able using the correct technique.
